Our Rangatahi Shine on the SkyCity Tower

We are beyond proud to share that a group of incredible young artists from our Print Your Own Money programme are having their artwork projected onto the SkyCity Tower in Auckland this month!

These rangatahi, who graduated from the programme earlier this year, created bold, thought-provoking prints exploring themes like identity, whakapapa, and the challenges and hopes they hold for the future. Now, their work is lighting up one of Aotearoa’s most iconic landmarks for all to see.

Print Your Own Money was a youth-focused printmaking course we ran in early 2025, designed to give young people creative tools to explore their world and express their ideas through traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques. Watching these rangatahi grow in confidence, voice, and skill was a privilege—and seeing their work now celebrated on this scale is deeply moving for all of us at TKPT.

This is more than just an art projection; it’s a powerful acknowledgement of the voices, creativity, and mana of our young people. We’re so honoured to have supported them on their journey and can’t wait to see where their creativity takes them next.
