Are you a young adult aged 18-36 and ready to explore your artistic side in a supportive creative community? Te Kowhai Print Trust’s free 12-Week Arts Programme for Emerging Creators is designed just for you! Perfect for school leavers or those between jobs, this programme offers an incredible opportunity to dive into the world of art, explore your creative voice, and develop leadership skills.

Over 12 weeks, you’ll learn a variety of printmaking techniques including digital design, relief printing, and screen printing. But it doesn’t stop there. You’ll also gain insights into the art world through mentoring by accomplished artists, gallery owners, and creative business professionals. Discover how to turn your creativity into a fulfilling career with workshops on marketing and promotion, whilst maintaining and developing your integrity as an artist.

The course runs twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, providing a manageable and consistent schedule to help you fully immerse yourself in the creative experience.

The course isn’t just about skills—it’s about community. You’ll have access to TKPT’s professional studio facilities, the guidance of its staff (all artists), the chance to exhibit your work at Printopia (New Zealand’s largest printmaking festival), and membership at Te Kowhai’s studio after the course finishes. Along the way, you’ll build a sense of belonging, celebrate cultural diversity, and explore your creative identity.
