We’re looking for a creative, organised, and community-minded person to support our studio as an Administrator & Community Development / Marketing Coordinator (12 hours per week).

In this role, you’ll keep our studio running smoothly, help foster connections with our local community, and lead the creation of engaging social media content—writing posts, taking photos and videos, and designing simple promotional materials. Job Description – Contractor (12 hrs/week)

Role: Administrator & Community Development / Marketing Coordinator
Organisation: Te Kowhai Print Trust
Reports to: Studio Manager

Purpose
To provide administrative support, strengthen community engagement, and lead the creation and delivery of marketing and social media content for Te Kowhai Print Trust within a limited weekly schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Administration:
Respond to general enquiries (email, phone, social media).Maintain studio calendars, workshop bookings, and membership records.Support tutors with class lists and basic admin needs.Assist with light financial admin (receipts, petty cash, forwarding invoices).Keep digital records and filing systems organised and up to date.

Community Development:
Support coordination of workshops, programmes, and community partnerships.Communicate with community groups, schools, and volunteers.Assist gathering feedback, participation numbers, and simple reporting material. Help maintain a welcoming, inclusive studio environment.

Marketing & Social Media (Content Creation & Management):

– Create all social media content, including:
– Copywriting captions and posts
– Taking photos and short videos in the studio
– Creating simple graphics, posters, and promotional assets (e.g., using Canva)
– Editing basic video content (reels, stories, clips)
– Plan, create, and schedule 1–2 posts weekly for Facebook and Instagram.
– Promote upcoming workshops, events, community stories, and studio updates.
– Maintain consistent visual style, tone, and messaging across platforms.
– Monitor engagement and adjust content approach as needed.

Skills & Experience:

– Strong organisational and communication skills.
– Experience creating social media content (writing, photography, short videos).
– Basic design skills using Adobe Suite, Canva or similar tools.
– Confident with Facebook and Instagram posting and scheduling.
– Comfortable working in community arts environments (printmaking interest a bonus).
– Digital literacy across email, Google Workspace, and simple admin tools.
– Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage a small workload efficiently.

Contract Deliverables:

– All enquiries responded to in a timely manner.
– Accurate and maintained calendars, bookings, and membership records.
– 1-2 original social media posts created and scheduled weekly (including photography
or video as needed).
– Promotional materials created as required (e.g., workshop posters).
– Community programme admin and communication tasks completed.
– Feedback and participation data collected and recorded for reporting.
